Richmond Sub-Aqua Club

A highly active dive club, based out of Pools On The Park, Richmond.

We are one of the most active dive clubs in London, with over 100 members and a busy diving programme throughout the year. Our trips range from international destination diving to UK trips from our own boat, The Richmond Explorer.

We welcome divers of all experience levels to come and join us, whether you've never dived before or your an experienced tech diver.

A Big Club

Richmond Sub-Aqua Club (RSAC) was founded in 1986 as a Branch of the British Sub-Aqua Club.

We have around 100 members, including 15 Advanced/Open Water Instructors and a further dozen Assistant Diving Instructors. Our Instructor team are keen to teach and help in all aspects of diving and diving equipment – there will always be someone who has done it before and is willing to pass on their knowledge and experience. The Club is run by a Committee elected by our members at the Annual General Meeting.

British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC) is one of the biggest and the most widely recognised amateur diving organisations globally. BSAC’s training and safety standards are second to none and are used as a benchmark by other diving organisations around the world. BSAC’s primary strength lies in its club/branch system run on a not-for-profit basis.

BSAC Benefits

Being part of BSAC, the governing body of scuba diving in the UK, offers a host of concrete benefits to RSAC's members, such as free monthly subscription to SCUBA magazine, free world-wide third-party liability insurance, discounts in BSAC shop and on diving holidays.

RSAC annual membership fees (including annual membership of BSAC):

  • Adult diving:     £195.50
  • U18/Student:    £114.00

There is a one-off joining fee of £30. Any try dive fee (£20) is deducted from the Ocean Diver course fee should you join RSAC to learn to dive.

Frequently Diving

We like to dive all over the World.

Dives are organised throughout the year for training, experience and for fun. Every year longer trips are arranged to places like the Red Sea, Cyprus, Lanzarote, Malta and Scotland.

Club Night

Club night is every Wednesday evening from 20:00-22:00 (exclusive access from 21:00), at Pools on the Park in Richmond. You can improve your skills or familiarity with your kit. Many of our members also use the pool for lane swimming as part of their personal fitness & wellbeing goals.

The Richmond Explorer

We have our own Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB). This is wholly owned by the club & based out of Portland. This allows us to dive frequently & without reliance on others. We also dive using skippered hard-boats when we're diving further afield.

Social Life

RSAC is a particularly sociable club holding well attended social events such as summer barbecues and bowling. After our pool sessions on Wednesday nights a visit to the Sun Inn for a drink and an opportunity to discuss your latest diving exploits is pretty much a must!

What is BSAC? Can I join if I'm under 18? What if I am PADI?
